PowerConnect Splunk App Upgrade

New

  • Added the KPI engine and KPI Configuration:
    * "KPI Configuration" under "PowerConnect" > "Events and Alerts"
    * A new interface for defining, enabling, and tuning KPIs across your SAP landscape.
    * Thresholds can be set manually, estimated on previous data, or dynamically generated from historical baselines (7-, 30-, and 90-day windows).
    * Maintenance windows can be defined to tag KPI events during planned downtime.
    * New saved searches generate KPI results and rolling baselines on a schedule.

  • Added the following new views to "System Analysis":

    • (ABAP) "KPI Browser"

      • Review all KPIs reporting for the selected system in one place.

    • (ABAP) "Security" (category) — the former single "Security Essentials" view is now a category containing:

      • "Security Essentials"

      • "Users & Authorizations"

      • "System Configuration & Change Tracking"

      • "Security Notes & Compliance"

      • "Certificates & Licensing"

      • "Audits"

    • (ABAP) "Health" under the "PowerConnect" category

      • Provides an at-a-glance view of PowerConnect connector health for the selected system.

  • Added the following new dashboards:

    • "SAP Landscape" under the "Landscape" menu.

    • "SAP Datasphere: Overview" under "SAP Cloud" > "Datasphere" menu.*

    • "SAP Datasphere: Task Logs" under "SAP Cloud" > "Datasphere" menu.*

    • "SAP Cloud Connector" under "SAP Cloud" menu (replaces the previous Cloud Connector view).

Updated

  • Updated the following views:

    • "System Analysis"

      • Enhanced drilldown and navigation functionality that will be useful for future integration.

      • The extractor status list now sources extractors from the relevant data models.

      • Enhanced Extractor Details popup with graph and navigation to Extractor view

      • Performance optimizations and fixes.

    • "System Overview" (ABAP)

      • Refreshed layout and panels.

    • "Background Jobs" (ABAP)

      • Added a filter for failed jobs.

    • "System Landscape"

      • Retooled onto the new KPI engine for availability, hardware, and KPI display.

  • Additional app updates:

    • All views apart from "SAP Landscape" and "System Analysis" have been moved under a "Landscape" > "Legacy" menu.

    • Setup now includes selection of a summary index used by the KPI engine.

    • Updated configuration files to maintain Splunk Cloud compatibility.

    • Localization added/updated for KPI Configuration, System Landscape, and System Analysis navigation.

Known Issues

  • Datasphere dashboards are part of a beta implementation. Please contact us with questions or feedback.

  • Queries assume KPIs are stored in an index named pc_summary.

  • In setup, the full list of available indexes is not returned.
